Quorn & Woodhouse Station, Leicestershire
Looking north from the platform of Quorn & Woodhouse Station, photographed in June 1975. On the left is a typical example of a Last Main Line ticket office. Although small by late Victorian standards, the building's canopy could have been extended without much difficulty had the need arisen. At the centre of the picture is the staircase that brought passengers down onto the platform from the Forest Road girder overbridge. Note the stylish iron frame missing its wooden sign.
